Zac Brown named godfather of Margaritaville Beachcomber
The musician is scheduled to christen the cruise line’s newest ship in Miami and headline a Nassau concert in January 2027.

Margaritaville at Sea has named country singer-songwriter Zac Brown godfather of Margaritaville Beachcomber, the latest ship joining its fleet. Brown is scheduled to perform aboard and christen the vessel during its inaugural celebration in Miami in January 2027.
Brown also helped develop Same Boat, a music venue planned for the ship, contributing to its design, artwork and music programming. On Jan. 28, 2027, he is due to headline a concert in Nassau during what the cruise line describes as the first gathering of its three ships.
Beachcomber is scheduled to begin sailing from PortMiami in January 2027 with 15 new venues. The ship is planned to operate four- to eight-night Eastern and Southern Caribbean itineraries before repositioning to Galveston in October 2027.
Built in 2003, the vessel previously sailed in the Mediterranean as Costa Fortuna. The 102,500-gross-ton ship is expected to undergo a 12-week dry-dock upgrade and rebranding before entering service as the largest vessel in Margaritaville at Sea’s three-ship fleet.
