How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your Croozie account at any time by following these steps:
- Sign in to your Croozie account at croozie.com or in the Croozie app.
- Open your profile by tapping your avatar or name in the top-right corner.
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
- Tap “Delete account”.
- Enter your password to confirm, then tap “Permanently delete”.
Your account and data will be scheduled for deletion immediately.
Can’t Access Your Account?
If you are unable to sign in, you can request account deletion by emailing us or using our contact form. Include the email address associated with your Croozie account and we will process your request as soon as possible (within 30 days).
Data That Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your name, email address, and hashed password
- Profile photo
- Saved favorites (sailing watchlist)
- Roommate matching preferences (age range, gender, interests)
- Match requests and conversations
- Session and authentication tokens
Data That May Be Retained
- Anonymous analytics data — Croozie uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that collects only anonymous, non-personally-identifiable usage statistics. This data cannot be linked back to your account.
- Legal obligations — In rare cases, we may retain limited data if required by applicable law or valid legal process.
Retention Period
When you delete your account, all personal data listed above is permanently and irreversibly deleted immediately. There is no waiting period or recovery window. Requests made via the contact form (for users who cannot sign in) are processed within 30 days.
