Windstar Sets Five James Beard Foundation Chef Sailings for 2027
The program will bring guest chefs to itineraries in the Mediterranean, Pacific and East Asia.
Windstar Cruises has announced five James Beard Foundation Chef sailings for 2027, each featuring chef-hosted dinners, live cooking demonstrations and market excursions with the participating chef.
The schedule begins with chef Roel Alcudia on the seven-night Treasures of the Greek Isles itinerary aboard Wind Surf from July 13-20. Cara Tobin, a two-time James Beard Award nominee, will then join Star Legend for the Aegean Sea Odyssey via the Corinth Canal, scheduled for Sept. 8-16.
Chef Felix Tai is slated to participate in the 11-night Māori Storytellers & French Polynesian Treasures voyage aboard Star Breeze from Sept. 5-16. The itinerary includes Papeete, Bora Bora and the Cook Islands, with Tai exploring connections among food, storytelling and island cultural traditions.
Wind Surf will host Cody Hogan on the seven-night Enchanting Greece & the Amalfi Coast sailing from Athens to Rome, departing Oct. 14 and ending Oct. 21. Christine Lau will join the 10-night East Asian Legends voyage aboard Star Seeker from Nov. 4-14. That itinerary travels from Kobe through the Ryukyu Islands, Taiwan and Hong Kong before reaching Halong Bay.
Windstar said its regular cruises also serve recipes developed by chefs recognized by the James Beard Foundation. According to the company, more than 80 dishes have been created for its fleet during the partnership.
