Weather forces Mein Schiff 2 to miss Greenock call
The TUI-operated cruise ship had been expected to bring about 2,900 passengers to the Inverclyde port during a 10-day voyage from Hamburg.

Mein Schiff 2’s planned visit to Greenock Ocean Terminal was rerouted because of weather conditions. The call would have brought approximately 2,900 passengers to the port in Inverclyde.
Operated by TUI, Mein Schiff 2 was sailing a 10-day round trip from Hamburg. The itinerary began on September 5, with Greenock scheduled as one of the vessel’s calls before weather prompted the change.
Meyer Turku Shipyard in Finland built the cruise ship in 2019. Mein Schiff 2 has 16 decks, along with 12 dining areas and 15 bars and lounges. The vessel operates with a crew of around 1,000.
