Voyager of the Seas slated for Asia-Pacific deployment in 2028
Royal Caribbean plans sailings from Brisbane, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong as peak-period fares remain elevated.
A report dated Sept. 1, 2026, said Royal Caribbean plans to deploy Voyager of the Seas in the Asia-Pacific region beginning in 2028. Cruises departing from Brisbane, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong were scheduled to go on sale Aug. 26, 2026, according to the report.
Separately, a travel overview published Sept. 1 said some Caribbean cruise offers had become more attractive, although Royal Caribbean itineraries could still carry premium prices during peak travel periods. Travel advisors cited one high-demand sailing priced at $15,000 for six passengers sharing two balcony cabins.
The advisors said pricing remained particularly high during school breaks, while customers had more negotiating leverage for off-peak cruises. Royal Caribbean stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker RCL and is included in the S&P 500, according to the report.
