Vision of the Seas rerouted from Bermuda to Canada
Poor weather prompted an overnight call at Saint John, where Royal Caribbean said passengers would not be permitted to go ashore.

Royal Caribbean notified guests late Friday, October 16, that Vision of the Seas would sail to Canada instead of Bermuda. The notice arrived one day before embarkation for the five-night cruise.
The revised itinerary listed Saint John, New Brunswick, as the voyage’s only port call. The ship was scheduled to remain there from 6:30 p.m. Monday, October 19, until 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 20.
In its email, Royal Caribbean said guests would not be able to disembark during the overnight stay. The company had not publicly provided a specific explanation for that restriction.
Royal Caribbean said guests booked in inside or outside staterooms would receive $75, while those in balcony accommodations would receive $150. Suite guests would receive $200.
Bermuda shore excursions purchased in advance through Royal Caribbean would be canceled automatically, with refunds applied to guests’ onboard accounts.
