Virtuosa visit makes Shetland a family favorite
The MSC Cruises-operated vessel called at Lerwick during a seven-day round trip to the Norwegian fjords.

The Lees family from Salisbury, England, discovered a new favorite destination when they visited Shetland aboard Virtuosa in July as part of a seven-day round trip to the Norwegian fjords.
Elise Lees said she had not initially been enthusiastic about the Shetland visit, but the islands ultimately became one of the family’s favorite stops. She characterized the destination as charming and beautiful.
The family reached Victoria Pier by tender from the 332-meter Virtuosa. While exploring Lerwick, they visited Clickimin Broch, Fort Charlotte and the Knab.
Lerwick Port Authority reported that 5,792 guests were aboard the sailing, with most coming from the United Kingdom. MSC Cruises operates Virtuosa. The ship was among the cruise vessels bringing thousands of visitors to Lerwick during the July call.
