Virgin Voyages sets revenue record on 2028 Europe demand
Five Amsterdam departures aboard Valiant Lady generated more than half of the cruise line’s record single-day revenue.
Virgin Voyages recorded its highest-ever single-day revenue on Thursday, August 13, as bookings opened for its summer 2028 Northern Europe cruise season.
The cruise line said the launch accelerated its August booking momentum. Before the new itineraries were introduced, bookings were running 20 percent ahead of the previous year; afterward, that lead increased to more than 45 percent.
The 2028 program comprises five Valiant Lady voyages departing from Amsterdam. According to Virgin Voyages, those sailings accounted for more than half of the revenue generated on the record-setting day. An 11-night Arctic Circle itinerary attracted the strongest early demand among the newly released routes.
