Virgin Voyages reports record revenue day on Northern Europe demand
Bookings for Valiant Lady’s first Scandinavia and Baltics season helped the cruise line surpass its previous daily revenue record.
Virgin Voyages said Thursday, August 13, became the highest-revenue day in its history, exceeding the record set during Black Friday 2025.
The company attributed the result largely to demand for its inaugural Scandinavia and Baltics program. The summer 2028 season will feature five new itineraries departing from Amsterdam aboard Valiant Lady.
According to Virgin Voyages, the Northern Europe sailings generated more than half of the day’s total revenue. Its August booking pace, which had been running 20 percent ahead of the prior year at the start of the day, finished more than 45 percent higher year over year.
The cruise line identified the 11-night Arctic Circle voyage as an early leader in demand and said every available cabin sold out shortly after the launch.
Virgin Voyages announced the Northern Europe voyages in the previous month. It also offered a Summer Season Pass designed for travelers booking consecutive cruises in the region.
