Virgin Voyages makes Hamburg debut with Valiant Lady call
The ship received a water salute and traditional welcome during its inaugural visit to the German port.

Virgin Voyages made its Hamburg debut when Valiant Lady arrived at the Port of Hamburg on Aug. 24, 2026. A fireboat escorted the vessel to its berth while delivering a traditional water salute to mark the inaugural call.
Following maritime custom, representatives from the city and port boarded Valiant Lady for a commemorative plaque exchange with Captain Damir Rikanovic and his crew. Passengers leaving the ship could also watch a traditional shanty choir perform before setting out on excursions in Hamburg and the surrounding regions.
Valiant Lady was the sixth of nine cruise ships scheduled to make maiden calls in Hamburg during the 2026 cruise season. Across the city’s three cruise terminals, almost 330 ship calls were scheduled for the year.
