Virgin Voyages expands Gemini Enterprise agent fleet
The cruise line says its automated tools support operations across the business while helping crew devote more attention to passengers.

Virgin Voyages is expanding a fleet of digital agents built on Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise platform. According to the cruise line, the tools are being used in marketing, revenue management, sales, crew training, commercial operations and Sailor Services.
The company says each agent workflow is designed to simplify processes, strengthen personal engagement and give crew members more time to focus on passengers. Virgin Voyages describes the technology as supporting staff rather than displacing the human interactions central to hospitality.
Nicole Huang, Virgin Voyages’ senior vice president of fleet experience, is scheduled to participate in the opening keynote session at FTE Global. Her presentation will focus on how technology can support a more human approach to hospitality.
Huang said the company developed its cruise offering by considering how the experience would be designed from the ground up, rather than pursuing limited improvements to existing approaches. She also said the greatest opportunity for advanced technology lies in enabling more meaningful interactions between people instead of replacing them.
