Viking Selects Godparents for Seven Upcoming River Ships
Travel advisors and industry leaders will be recognized at an official naming ceremony in Amsterdam in October 2026.
Viking has named seven travel advisors and industry leaders as godparents of seven forthcoming river cruise ships, highlighting relationships across its global travel advisor community. The company plans to hold the vessels’ official naming ceremony in Amsterdam on October 15, 2026.
Shelby Steudle, president of Pavlus Travel, will be godmother of Viking Fjolvar, which is scheduled to sail on the Seine River. Carol Porter, co-owner of The Roaming Boomers, will serve as godmother of Viking Haki, while Imagine Going There owner Carol Shaddix will be godmother of Viking Halogi.
Michael Londregan, Virtuoso’s senior vice president of global operations, was selected as godfather of Viking Ptah, a Nile River ship. Ealeen Wong, senior director of strategy, partnership and sales at Expedia Cruises, will serve as godmother of Viking Rota. Cruise Planners owner Michael Consoli will be godfather of Viking Sekhmet, which will also sail on the Nile River.
