Viking Says 53% of Its 2027 Capacity Is Already Booked

Advance ticket sales for the 2027 season have reached $4.7 billion as the cruise company plans further fleet growth.

Viking announced that 53% of its capacity for the 2027 travel season was already booked. Advance ticket sales for that season totaled $4.7 billion, 21% above the level recorded at the same stage of the previous booking cycle.

For the 2026 travel season, Viking had sold 96% of available capacity, according to its earnings report. The company plans to expand operating capacity by 15% in 2027 through the construction of additional river and ocean vessels.

The report lists Viking’s existing fleet as 90 river ships, 13 ocean vessels and two expedition ships.

Viking also reported a 16.5% year-over-year increase in total revenue to $2.19 billion. Net income reached $587.7 million, while adjusted earnings per share rose by more than 32% to $1.31. Adjusted EBITDA increased 18.2% to $748.4 million.
