Utopia of the Seas traveler details costs and planning choices
Advance reservations and a shared airport transfer shaped a three-night Bahamas cruise, while the balcony fare exceeded $1,600.
A traveler aboard Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas reported paying more than $550 per night for a balcony cabin during a three-night Bahamas cruise. The base cruise fare totaled more than $1,600 for the traveler and her fiancée.
Transportation added to the trip’s costs. The traveler said an Uber from Royal Pacific Resort to Port Canaveral cost $103.90, but avoided the need to return to the airport. For the journey back, the couple pre-booked a shared Airport Canaveral transfer for $64.90. According to the traveler, one-way rides to the airport were starting at about $100 at the time.
The couple also completed five specialty-dining experiences: Izumi Hibachi, Hooked Seafood, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade and Izumi in the Park. The traveler said those meals provided sufficient use of their specialty-dining package.
To manage the short itinerary, the traveler made advance entertainment bookings through Royal Caribbean’s Cruise Planner, including a reservation for Aqua80Too. She also reported sampling several mocktails and other alcohol-free beverages during the sailing.
