Two passengers arrested after alleged cruise ship altercation
Brevard County authorities said three passengers, including a 9-year-old child, were struck during a confrontation involving a couple.

Gannon Jacox and Brooklyn Hicks were arrested August 15 following an alleged altercation involving passengers from an unidentified cruise ship, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and booking records.
The sheriff’s office said Jacox and Hicks had consumed alcohol and were arguing loudly when another passenger asked them to lower their voices. Authorities allege the couple then pushed into that passenger’s room, where a fight followed. Jacox allegedly struck all three occupants, including a 9-year-old child, while Hicks also allegedly threw punches. The sheriff’s statement said no passengers were seriously injured.
Jacox was arrested on charges of burglary with battery and child abuse without great bodily harm, according to the sheriff’s office. Hicks was charged with burglary with battery and battery-touch/strike. Booking details show Jacox was released August 16 and Hicks was released August 17.
Authorities have not established which ship the couple had sailed aboard. Adventure of the Seas, Disney Treasure, Mardi Gras and Carnival Freedom were scheduled at Port Canaveral on August 15.
