Two cruise guests booked in Brevard County after alleged fight

County records list burglary, battery, assault and child abuse charges following an incident involving three alleged victims.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that two cruise guests, Gannon Jacox and Brooklyn Hicks, were arrested and booked at the Brevard County Jail on Aug. 15.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey alleged that Jacox and Hicks had been arguing loudly after consuming alcohol when one of the victims asked them to lower their voices. In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office alleged that a fight followed and that Jacox struck three people, including a child, while Hicks swung at others. The agency said none of the victims suffered serious injuries.

County records show Hicks was booked on felony burglary with battery and misdemeanor battery charges. Jacox was booked on two counts of burglary with assault, along with child abuse and misdemeanor battery charges. Hicks was later released on a $6,000 bond, while Jacox was released on a $31,000 bond.

The sheriff’s office did not identify which cruise ship was associated with the guests. CruiseMapper listed Adventure of the Seas, Disney Treasure, Mardi Gras and Carnival Freedom as being in port that Saturday, but no connection between any of those ships and the alleged incident has been established.
