Trinidad and Tobago cruise traffic rises as ports prepare for more calls
Government reporting recorded more than 139,000 cruise passengers in 2023, while officials highlighted infrastructure investment and new ship visits.

More than 139,000 cruise passengers arrived in Trinidad and Tobago aboard 86 vessels in 2023, according to government economic reporting. Tourism-focused media releases also recorded three cruise ships calling at Port of Spain across February 27 and 28, 2024.
Tourism Trinidad’s November 2024 season launch featured the inaugural call of Oceania Cruises’ MS Nautica and expectations for record cruise-ship arrivals. Government releases separately highlighted Seabourn Venture’s October 2024 visit in connection with port services, security and logistics for higher-end cruise brands.
Official documents outline continued investment in berths and terminal facilities to accommodate larger ships and more frequent calls. Government economic reviews have linked rising vessel arrivals with increased spending across hospitality, transportation and retail. Tobago has also posted strong growth, with regional coverage citing a cruise-visitor increase of more than 50% during one recent season.
