Traveler says missed deposit led to canceled Disney Wish cabins
A Reddit poster said a travel agent failed to submit the family’s deposit for two rooms on a seven-night Canada cruise from New York.
A Reddit poster said Disney Cruise Line canceled two rooms aboard Disney Wish after the family’s usual Disney travel agent failed to forward the required deposit.
The affected trip was the only seven-night Canada cruise then scheduled by Disney Cruise Line from New York, according to the account. The poster, a Silver Castaway Club member, said the family had secured two guaranteed family veranda cabins through the agent.
According to the poster, the family received an invoice, provided card information and obtained confirmation that the agent had received it. However, the card was never charged. The traveler said the agent later called and acknowledged failing to submit the deposit to Disney Cruise Line, resulting in the cancellation of both rooms.
The poster said the sailing was subsequently sold out except for the Tower Suite, which showed a $60k price for the week. According to the report, the travel agent apologized and promised to continue trying to restore or replace the booking.
