Trail runner covers 299.5 kilometers on first Princess cruise
Paul Manson ran marathons in six Mediterranean ports and aboard Enchanted Princess during a seven-day sailing.

Scottish trail runner Paul Manson covered 299.5 kilometers, approximately 186 miles, during his first cruise, a seven-day Mediterranean voyage aboard Princess Cruises’ Enchanted Princess.
Manson ran a full marathon at each port visited: Rome, Naples, Kotor, Corfu, Olympia and Sicily. During a sea day, he completed another marathon on the ship’s running track, requiring 185 laps. His effort on board made him a notable figure among those on the ship.
In Kotor, Manson said his route included a 1,350-meter climb to the highest viewpoint before he descended to the bay. He said the run also required careful timing because he needed to return for the final tender to avoid the ship leaving without him.
The port runs and shipboard marathon brought his total distance for the cruise to 299.5 kilometers.
