Thomas Scharfenberg to Lead AIDAsol Hotel Operations on World Cruise
The AIDA Cruises veteran will serve as hotel director during the ship’s 126-day 2026–2027 voyage.
AIDA Cruises has selected longtime company veteran Thomas Scharfenberg as hotel director aboard AIDAsol for its 2026–2027 world cruise. The 126-day sailing is scheduled to depart on October 18 and will travel through multiple countries and across several continents.
Scharfenberg has more than 15 years of experience working as a hotel director and general manager with AIDA Cruises. During the extended voyage, he and his team will be responsible for the ship’s hotel operations and will contribute to shaping the onboard experience for passengers.
The world cruise itinerary is set to span major holidays and feature a range of destination highlights. Among the planned events is a New Year’s Eve celebration in Sydney.
