Star Seeker and Star Princess Set Alaska Returns for 2027
The ships offer sharply different capacities, with Windstar’s vessel carrying 224 passengers and Princess Cruise Line’s ship accommodating 4,300.

Windstar’s Star Seeker and Princess Cruise Line’s Star Princess are scheduled to return to Alaska for the summer 2027 season after both sailed in the region this summer.
With room for 224 passengers, Star Seeker falls within the category generally used for smaller cruise ships, which typically carry fewer than 1,000 guests. The 431-foot vessel has eight decks and permits children age 8 and older when traveling with a guardian, although Windstar designs its cruises primarily for adults.
Star Seeker has three dining venues: Star Grill, Amphora and Basil + Bamboo. The ship debuted in December 2025 and moved to Asia in the fall.
Star Princess, by comparison, can carry 4,300 passengers. It was christened in November 2025 and was set to spend the winter in the Caribbean before its planned Alaska return. Both vessels remain smaller than Legend of the Seas and its two sister ships, each of which can accommodate as many as 7,600 guests.
