Royal Caribbean will adapt the Broadway-inspired production for its fourth Icon-class ship, which is scheduled to begin sailing from Miami in August 2027.
Royal Caribbean has announced that SpongeBob Musical will headline the theatrical entertainment lineup aboard the forthcoming Hero of the Seas. The cruise line plans to adapt and reimagine the production for the ship’s Royal Theater.
The show is inspired by the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and will bring the setting and characters of Bikini Bottom to the ship’s stage.
Hero of the Seas will be the fourth vessel in Royal Caribbean’s Icon class. The ship is scheduled to begin sailing from Miami in August 2027.
Bookings are available for seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean. The announced booking period covers sailings from summer 2027 through spring 2028.
