Solo Carnival traveler raises concerns over dining placement and spa sales pressure
The guest said dining staff usually accommodated seating requests, but described persistent product pitches during salon and massage appointments.

A solo Carnival Cruise Line traveler has raised concerns about dining arrangements and sales tactics during onboard salon and spa services.
The guest said they were repeatedly assigned breakfast and dinner seats near a service station or positioned facing a wall. According to the traveler, servers were generally helpful when asked to adjust or move the chair.
The traveler also alleged that salon and spa employees applied unusually strong pressure to buy products. During a hair appointment, the guest said the stylist criticized the products they normally used and promoted alternatives sold onboard.
Similar sales efforts allegedly continued through much of a massage, with the therapist encouraging purchases of several Elemis products, the traveler said. Although the guest was familiar with attempts to sell additional items during treatments, they characterized the approach on this occasion as substantially more aggressive. The traveler said they had booked several treatments as activities to enjoy while cruising alone.
Carnival markets solo cruise vacations to people interested in independent travel and time by themselves.
