Seabourn Ovation, carrying about 500 passengers, is due to arrive in Shelburne at 8 a.m. and depart at 4 p.m. Passengers are expected to tender ashore at Dock Street. A second Shelburne call is scheduled for Oct. 5 by Explora III, which has capacity for 1,200 passengers.
Four cruise visits are scheduled for Yarmouth. Silver Wind is due to anchor in Yarmouth Harbour on Sept. 24, followed by Crystal Symphony on Oct. 10, Le Boreal on Oct. 11 and Le Lyrial on Oct. 12.
The Atlantic Canada Cruise Association promotes Shelburne and Yarmouth as niche ports of call. Neil MacKenzie, CEO of Yarmouth & Acadian Shores Tourism, said earlier this year that the organization had 18 cruise ship calls for the period from 2026 through 2028.
