Singapore expands cruise capacity for new 2026–27 deployments
Terminal upgrades coincide with planned programs from Royal Caribbean, Disney Cruise Line and Princess Cruises.
An enhancement of Marina Bay Cruise Centre was completed in late 2025, increasing its peak passenger capacity from about 6,800 to approximately 11,700, according to industry and investor presentations. Singapore authorities have also announced plans to upgrade and rebrand the HarbourFront terminal as Singapore Cruise Centre (HarbourFront), with a focus on accommodating more mid-sized ships and regional itineraries.
Published deployment details show Royal Caribbean International plans to base Navigator of the Seas in Singapore for three- to 12-night voyages during 2026–27. The cruise line’s deployment brochures list short sailings to Penang and Phuket alongside longer regional cruises. Speeches and presentations by local trade and tourism officials also indicate that Disney Cruise Line is scheduled to enter the Singapore market in March 2026 under a long-term homeporting arrangement.
Princess Cruises has separately announced a 2026–27 Southeast Asia program centered on Singapore. According to the company’s schedules and program release, Diamond Princess is planned to operate from November 2026 through March 2027, visiting 28 destinations across eight countries. The planned program includes round-trip Singapore itineraries calling at ports in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam, including Phuket, Bangkok’s Laem Chabang port, Penang and Langkawi.
