Silver Nova begins inaugural Adriatic voyage from Venice
Silversea reported a mix of new travelers and returning Venetian Society members aboard the first sailing of its NOVA Class ship.
Silversea Cruises said Silver Nova’s inaugural voyage would carry approximately 400 travelers new to the company and 200 members of its Venetian Society program. The ship accommodates up to 728 passengers and was described by Silversea as the largest vessel in its fleet.
The seven-day roundtrip itinerary from Venice included calls at Piran in Slovenia and Kotor in Montenegro. Croatian destinations on the schedule were Zadar, Dubrovnik, Split and Rovinj.
Silver Nova’s launch introduced Silversea’s NOVA Class, also referred to as EVOLUTION. Listed design elements included extended open spaces intended to provide clear port views, airy atriums and several suite categories, including premium accommodations at the stern.
The ship also features a 130-square-meter pool area, which Silversea identified as the largest in its fleet, along with additional deck chairs. Expanded spaces support the company’s Sea and Land Taste, or S.A.L.T., culinary program, which focuses on destination-based flavors.
