Seabourn Quest Set for Miami Caribbean Deployment in 2028
The ship is scheduled to begin Caribbean voyages from Miami following an extensive interior refurbishment.
Seabourn Quest is scheduled to start sailing Caribbean itineraries from Miami in December 2028. The destinations identified as central to Seabourn’s plans include St. Barthélemy, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Dominica, Jost Van Dyke, Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire.
The deployment follows an interior refurbishment completed in June 2026 and described in the report as the most extensive update in the ship’s history. The project covered suites, public spaces, restaurants and the spa.
During the work, 20,000 square metres of carpet was replaced. According to the report, the removed material was kept out of landfills and repurposed as carpet padding, while suites received biodegradable wool carpeting from Dansk Wilton.
The planned arrival comes amid higher passenger volumes at PortMiami. Figures listed in the report rose from 7,299,294 passengers in 2023 to 8,233,056 in 2024 and 8,564,225 in 2025, with the latest total characterized as a 4.02% annual increase. Miami-Dade County estimates that the port generates about $61 billion annually and supports 340,078 jobs.
Royal Caribbean also operates from the region with Icon of the Seas, which sails seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries featuring Philipsburg, Charlotte Amalie and CocoCay.
