Sandals reassures staff as Royal Caribbean partnership supports expansion plans
Executive Chairman Adam Stewart said employees’ jobs would remain unchanged and outlined plans to discuss the partnership across the resort chain.

Sandals Resorts has assured staff that their jobs will remain unchanged amid concerns about the effects of its partnership arrangement with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Executive Chairman Adam Stewart presented the partnership as the first step in a broader growth strategy for Sandals. He said the company intends to expand beyond the Caribbean while developing additional offerings and new experiences for guests.
Stewart shared the update during a virtual meeting with travel advisors. He also said he planned to visit every property in the Sandals resort chain over the following few weeks.
According to Stewart, those visits will provide an opportunity to discuss the Royal Caribbean partnership with stakeholders and respond to concerns they may have about the arrangement. The staff reassurance and planned property meetings come as Sandals begins communicating how the partnership fits into its expansion strategy.
