Royal Caribbean valuation estimate rises as shares trade near $290

An August 27, 2026 update placed the cruise company’s stock below both its revised fair-value estimate and analysts’ average target.

Royal Caribbean Group shares were trading around $290 on August 27, 2026, giving the company a market capitalization of approximately $77.56 billion, according to an equity overview. The company is identified as Royal Caribbean Group Inc., trading under the ticker RCL on the New York Stock Exchange.

A valuation update issued the same day increased its fair-value estimate for Royal Caribbean shares from $336.31 to $346.92. Its model therefore placed the stock at a 16.4% discount. The framework attributed the higher estimate to expectations for continued yield acceleration as additional ships enter the fleet through 2028, supporting ticket prices and passenger onboard spending.

Separately compiled consensus figures showed the shares at $290.55, compared with an average published analyst price target of $353.40, a difference of $62.85 per share. The overview assigned the stock a Moderate Buy consensus rating. Technical data showed the shares remained above their 200-day moving average, while one-month momentum was negative. The 14-day Relative Strength Index stood at 18.10, a reading technical traders generally regard as oversold.
