Royal Caribbean to Pause Baltimore Departures in Winter 2026–2027
Vision of the Seas is scheduled to reposition to San Juan before returning to Baltimore in May 2027.

Royal Caribbean disclosed in March 2025 that it would not offer departures from Baltimore during the winter 2026–2027 season. Vision of the Seas is scheduled to leave Baltimore on October 22 for a 10-night repositioning cruise to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The ship is expected to return to Baltimore in May 2027 and operate cruises through October. Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley said Vision of the Seas would return each summer.
Royal Caribbean’s plans include five- and nine-night cruises to Bermuda and the Bahamas, along with nine-night Canada and New England itineraries. The shorter Bermuda sailings will visit the Royal Naval Dockyard, while the nine-night voyages will combine Bermuda with calls at Nassau and Bimini. Other itineraries include Boston, Portland, Saint John, New Brunswick, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
According to the report, Grandeur of the Seas, Rhapsody of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas are among the Royal Caribbean ships that can fit under the bridge, but they are deployed elsewhere for winter 2026 into early 2027.
