Royal Caribbean Terms Explain How Children’s Loyalty Status Changes at 18
The cruise line’s policy links children to a parent or guardian’s tier through Diamond Plus until they reach adulthood.

Royal Caribbean’s terms state that children share the loyalty tier held by their parent or guardian until age 18. Under the policy, the shared status is limited to Diamond Plus, even when the related adult has reached a higher tier.
The terms also state that children are removed from the loyalty relationship with their parent or guardian on their 18th birthday. The policy addresses cases in which that removal does not happen immediately and the dependent later accumulates a higher loyalty tier.
In those circumstances, Royal Caribbean’s terms say the dependent’s record may be adjusted to the appropriate tier without notice. The provision applies when a child or dependent remains linked after turning 18 and gains a higher status outside the permitted period.
The author who examined the terms also reviewed earlier copies and reported that versions dating back to 2021 used exactly the same policy wording.
