Royal Caribbean shifts two ships from California to Asia-Pacific service
Navigator of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas will move to Singapore and Brisbane, prompting cancellations for passengers booked from Los Angeles in 2027.

Royal Caribbean International is redeploying Navigator of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas from planned California service in 2027 as the cruise line expands its presence in Asia and Australia. The changes have led to cancellations affecting passengers who had expected to depart from Los Angeles.
Navigator of the Seas is now scheduled to remain in Singapore through October 2027, giving the ship at least a full year in Asia. Royal Caribbean plans primarily two- to five-night voyages from Singapore to destinations in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as a longer sailing from Tokyo to Singapore.
The company informed affected Navigator passengers that scheduling needs, port agreements and other operational factors required the redeployment. Those guests were offered alternative sailings, waived change fees for qualifying choices and some onboard credit.
For Ovation of the Seas, cruises beginning in November 2027 were canceled to allow the ship to relocate to Brisbane. From Australia, Ovation is scheduled to operate itineraries ranging from three to eight nights.
Separately, Mexico’s Non-Resident Duty for foreign cruise passengers increased from $5 to $10 per person on Aug. 1, 2026.
