Royal Caribbean shifts select PortMiami departures during Terminal A renovations
Some Wonder, Freedom and Icon of the Seas sailings will temporarily use MSC Cruises’ Terminal AA.

Royal Caribbean is temporarily moving select PortMiami departures from its usual Terminal A to MSC Cruises’ Terminal AA while renovation work is completed. The change will affect certain sailings aboard Wonder of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas and Icon of the Seas.
According to the report, Royal Caribbean had not specified which departures would use Terminal AA or confirmed how long the temporary arrangement would remain in place. The cruise line notified affected guests about the renovations and advised them to prepare for substantial walking inside Terminal AA.
The 490,000-square-foot Terminal AA opened in 2025. MSC Cruises says the facility can accommodate three ships at the same time and process up to 36,000 passengers per day.
PortMiami has advised cruise passengers to allow additional time before their departures and to confirm their assigned terminal and parking location before arriving at the port.
