Royal Caribbean Says Another World Cruise Remains a Possibility
Michael Bayley said the cruise line would probably offer another global voyage, although no plans were in place at the time.
Royal Caribbean may offer another world cruise, but Michael Bayley said the company had nothing planned at the time of his remarks. He described another such voyage as a possibility rather than a confirmed plan.
The cruise line’s Ultimate World Cruise sailed aboard Serenade of the Seas from December 2023 to September 2024, visiting more than 50 countries and 100 destinations.
During the voyage, geopolitical tensions in the Red Sea prompted Royal Caribbean to avoid the region and change the itinerary for Segment 3. The company refunded passengers 25% of the Segment 3 fare and issued full refunds to those who canceled their sailing.
Bayley previously said the vessel chosen for the world cruise needed more outside staterooms.
Celebrity Solstice, meanwhile, embarked on a four-month Grand Voyage visiting fifteen countries and more than 50 destinations. The itinerary included eight overnight stays.
