Royal Caribbean reviews dispute over Jewel of the Seas loyalty points
A passenger’s husband says promised Crown & Anchor points were not added after a three-night sailing.

Royal Caribbean is conducting an internal investigation and gathering additional information after a dispute over loyalty points from a three-night Jewel of the Seas cruise, the company said.
The passenger’s husband alleged that Royal Caribbean representatives repeatedly told his wife the sailing would earn 12 points through solo-traveler and promotional double-point benefits. He said her account had 163 Crown & Anchor points before the trip, and the expected award would have brought her to the 175 points required for Diamond Plus status.
According to the husband, his wife booked the cruise, paid related travel costs and took time away from work to reach Diamond Plus before an upcoming Oasis of the Seas sailing. He said she would not have made the booking under those circumstances if the point information had been accurate from the outset.
The report said her account still showed 163 points on Royal Caribbean’s website and mobile app, leaving her 12 points below the Diamond Plus threshold. It also said the cruise line declined to add the requested points. A customer service representative instead offered a $250 credit, which the husband said he had not yet accepted or rejected.
