Royal Caribbean plans two-ship Hong Kong season for early 2028
Voyager of the Seas will join Spectrum of the Seas as the cruise line expands operations across key Asian homeports.
Royal Caribbean plans to operate two ships from Hong Kong during the peak winter travel period in early 2028, increasing its presence in the city as it builds its wider Asian deployment.
Voyager of the Seas is scheduled to use Hong Kong as a seasonal homeport from January through February 2028. Its planned voyages will run from four to 10 nights, linking the city with destinations in Japan, Vietnam and elsewhere in Asia.
For Chinese New Year, the company plans four- and five-night sailings from Hong Kong to Japanese destinations including Ishigaki and Okinawa. Selected itineraries are expected to include overnight stays in Okinawa.
Spectrum of the Seas is planned to continue sailing from both Shanghai and Hong Kong. Royal Caribbean says the ship will offer 56 itineraries lasting three to 11 nights and visiting 22 destinations across Asia.
With Voyager’s return, the cruise line plans to deploy four ships in the Asian market during the season, with operations focused on the homeports of Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
