Royal Caribbean plans seven-ship Europe deployment for 2028–29

The program spans the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Canary Islands, with Rhapsody of the Seas remaining in Europe year-round.

Royal Caribbean has announced a seven-ship European deployment for 2028–29, covering the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Canary Islands. General bookings opened Oct. 15 after Crown & Anchor Society members received early access.

Rhapsody of the Seas is set to operate in Europe throughout the year, sailing seven- to 12-night cruises from Athens, Barcelona and Lisbon. Its summer program includes overnight calls in Egypt, while winter itineraries feature the Canary Islands, Portugal and Morocco.

From May through October 2028, Explorer of the Seas is scheduled to offer seven-night voyages from Ravenna to the Greek Isles and Croatia. During the same period, Freedom of the Seas will sail three- to nine-night Northern and Southern Europe itineraries from Southampton.

Jewel of the Seas will operate seven- to 11-night cruises from Copenhagen and Stockholm between May and August 2028. Royal Caribbean said the program marks its return to both cities and the Baltic. Liberty of the Seas is slated to sail seven- and eight-night Greek Isles and Mediterranean itineraries from May through October 2028, including visits to Marseille, Palermo and Cagliari.
