Royal Caribbean names Lori Jean Robinson godmother of Legend of the Seas
The retired U.S. Air Force general will serve as godmother as the cruise line prepares to welcome the ship in Fort Lauderdale.

Royal Caribbean has named retired U.S. Air Force General Lori Jean Robinson as godmother of Legend of the Seas. The company plans to formally welcome the vessel to the United States during a Veterans Day naming ceremony in November.
Legend of the Seas will arrive at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale after completing its inaugural summer season in Europe. The vessel is scheduled to enter service from Fort Lauderdale in November, and Royal Caribbean has opened its cruises for booking.
The ship will feature 28 dining venues and seven pools. Its entertainment lineup will include America’s Got Talent LIVE and a production of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
From Fort Lauderdale, Legend of the Seas will sail 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean itineraries. Both programs will visit Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas.
