Royal Caribbean names Dolly as newest Chief Dog Officer
The Golden Retriever is expected to join Hero of the Seas when the ship begins sailing from Miami in 2027.

Royal Caribbean has welcomed a Golden Retriever named Dolly as the newest member of its Chief Dog Officer programme. Passengers chose her name through a Facebook vote launched by Royal Caribbean CEO Michael Bayley, who asked guests to select from a shortlist.
Dolly is expected to serve aboard Hero of the Seas when the ship enters service in August 2027. The vessel is scheduled to operate seven-night Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries from Miami.
Royal Caribbean runs the Chief Dog Officer programme in partnership with the American Humane Society. Dogs participating in the initiative are accompanied on board by dedicated handlers.
