Royal Caribbean Lists Room Service Fee and Automatic Gratuity
The cruise line’s published information separately identifies continental breakfast delivery as included and excludes room service and minibar orders from beverage packages.
Royal Caribbean’s official room service FAQ listed a $7.95 service charge as of September 19, 2026. According to the company’s published information, an additional 18 percent gratuity was set to be added automatically to the room service charge.
The same Royal Caribbean FAQ stated that the service charge could be changed without notice. The company’s room service information therefore presented the listed amount as a charge that was subject to revision.
Royal Caribbean addressed an included room service offering on a separate fare inclusion page. That page listed continental breakfast delivered by room service among the items included in the cruise fare.
The cruise line also outlined exclusions in its beverage package FAQ. According to Royal Caribbean, beverage packages do not include orders placed through room service. The company’s FAQ also excludes minibar orders from those packages.
