Royal Caribbean Invites Select Guests to Bid on Onboard Experiences

Select Royal Caribbean passengers have received emails inviting them to bid on extra-cost experiences, including casitas, cabanas and daybeds. Through RoyalUp, booked guests can submit blind offers for eligible items, potentially below the prices ordinarily listed online.

Guests may withdraw a bid at any time before it is accepted. Royal Caribbean charges the passenger only after accepting the offer and confirming the upgrade.

For one cited Icon of the Seas sailing, bids for an embarkation-day casita ranged from $440 to $650. Sea-day casita bids were higher, ranging from $990 to $1,400. The minimum offer for a Hideaway Oceanview Daybed was $225, with a maximum of $400, while Hideaway In-Pool Daybed bids ranged from $280 to $500.

Royal Caribbean also allows eligible passengers to bid on cabanas and beach beds at Perfect Day at CocoCay. On the example sailing, accepted bidding ranges were listed at $400 to $1,500 for cabanas and $200 to $500 for beach beds.
