Royal Caribbean Group Keeps Cruise Loyalty Programs Separate
Members can match status across three brands and choose Crown & Anchor points on eligible sister-brand sailings, while benefits remain brand-specific.

Royal Caribbean Group is maintaining separate loyalty programs for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises, even as it offers members ways to carry status and point-earning opportunities across the brands. Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International are both owned by the group.
Under Royal Caribbean’s Status Match Program, Crown & Anchor Society members can receive reciprocal status with Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises. Nancy Ramos, Royal Caribbean International’s assistant vice president of loyalty, affinity and onboard marketing, said each brand remains distinct and will continue offering its own benefits at the corresponding matched status.
Royal Caribbean’s Points Choice Program also allows passengers sailing with Celebrity Cruises or Silversea Cruises to earn Crown & Anchor points. The arrangement provides cross-brand flexibility without combining the individual loyalty schemes or standardizing their benefits.
Reaction among cruisers cited in the report was divided. Some supported retaining separate programs, while others criticized Royal Caribbean Group’s decision and characterized it as self-serving.
