Royal Caribbean expands RoyalUp bidding to onboard experiences
Booked passengers may now submit advance offers for select pool-deck amenities and private-island spaces.
Royal Caribbean has broadened its RoyalUp bidding program beyond its earlier focus on cabin upgrades and selected cabanas at Perfect Day at CocoCay. The program now includes several onboard experiences.
Booked guests are receiving email invitations to place blind bids on pool-deck casitas, adults-only Hideaway daybeds and private-island cabanas. Available CocoCay options include cabanas at South Beach and Chill Island, while Hideaway choices include in-pool and ocean-view daybeds with Champagne service.
Reported bidding ranges for standard casitas start at $440 on embarkation day and reach $1,400 for peak sea days. A successful offer is not assured, because the bidding process may be used to fill unsold inventory or spaces that become available after cancellations.
Guests can change or withdraw an offer before Royal Caribbean accepts it. Payment is collected only when the cruise line confirms the reservation. Passengers may not receive a decision on their bid until closer to the departure date.
