Royal Caribbean Expands Non-Alcoholic Drink Options
The cruise line says rising demand for alcohol-free beverages and moderation is reshaping its onboard menus.

Royal Caribbean International is broadening its non-alcoholic beverage selection as passenger preferences change, according to Linken D’Souza, the company’s senior vice president of food and beverage. The cruise line says its internal data shows increased demand for alcohol-free choices and growing interest in moderation.
D’Souza said Royal Caribbean now offers more than 19 mocktails, along with non-alcoholic sparkling wine; rosé, white and red wine alternatives; alcohol-free beer; and non-alcoholic spirits used in cocktails. He also said the cruise line serves approximately 29 million piña coladas annually.
Guests seeking an inclusive alcohol-free option can purchase Royal Caribbean’s Refreshment package. The company says the package covers all non-alcoholic drinks for a flat daily price without a daily consumption limit. It is available to guests of any age and can be purchased before sailing or onboard. Benefits apply both aboard the ship and at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Royal Caribbean lists the onboard price at $42 per person, per day. Pre-cruise pricing may be lower; one documented offer for an upcoming Utopia of the Seas sailing was $28.99 per person, per day when purchased in advance.
