Royal Caribbean completes $1.25 billion senior notes offering
The cruise company plans to direct the proceeds mainly toward floating-rate term-loan borrowings and other existing debt.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. completed an offering of $1.25 billion in senior notes carrying a 5.550% annual interest rate, according to the company’s Form 8-K filed August 20, 2026. The notes are due January 20, 2034, unless the company redeems or repurchases them earlier.
After underwriting fees, commissions and other offering expenses, Royal Caribbean received approximately $1.24 billion in net proceeds. The company said it intends to use most of the funds to repay a portion of its outstanding floating-rate term-loan borrowings. Any proceeds left over are expected to be used to repay or refinance other existing debt.
Interest began accruing August 20, 2026. Payments will be made twice a year, on January 20 and July 20, with the first scheduled interest payment due January 20, 2027.
