Royal Caribbean Cancels Select 2027 Sailings Amid Asia-Pacific Expansion
Navigator of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas will shift to new deployments in Asia and Australia.
Royal Caribbean has canceled a number of 2027 cruises while revising planned itineraries for Navigator of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas. The cruise line confirmed the changes and said they are connected to its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
According to CruiseMapper data cited in the report, both ships had previously been scheduled to sail from Los Angeles and call at destinations in Mexico during 2027. Royal Caribbean said guests and travel partners with canceled bookings were contacted directly.
Navigator of the Seas is now scheduled to operate in Asia throughout the year from October 2026 to October 2027. Its program will include Southeast Asia cruises lasting two to five nights, with visits to Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. The ship is also due to offer a 12-night voyage from Tokyo to Singapore, according to the company’s release.
Ovation of the Seas will sail from Brisbane during the 2027-2028 season. Its planned schedule includes four-night cruises to Airlie Beach in the Whitsunday Islands, along with itineraries ranging from three to eight nights beginning in November 2027.
