Royal Caribbean Cancels 2027 Los Angeles Sailings for Asia-Pacific Expansion
Navigator of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas are being redeployed as the cruise line increases its regional presence.
Royal Caribbean has cancelled multiple 2027 voyages aboard Navigator of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas as it shifts both ships to support a larger Asia-Pacific program. The affected cruises had been scheduled to depart from Los Angeles and visit ports in Mexico.
The changes follow the company’s announced 2027-2028 deployment plans, which expand Royal Caribbean’s presence in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. Navigator of the Seas is set to operate in the Asia-Pacific region throughout the year from October 2026 to October 2027, while Ovation of the Seas will be repositioned to Brisbane.
Royal Caribbean characterized the itinerary revisions as part of its standard operational planning. The company said adjustments may be necessary because of scheduling needs, port agreements and other considerations.
According to Royal Caribbean, impacted passengers and travel partners have been contacted directly with information about the cancellations and available arrangements.
