Royal Caribbean California sailings listed from $199 per person
Online cruise discussions have drawn attention to lower-priced departures from Los Angeles and San Diego, including reported rates near $38 per night.

A review of upcoming Royal Caribbean sailings found several California departures priced from about $199 per person. The Nov. 2–6 voyage aboard Ovation of the Seas was listed from $199 per passenger for a standard interior room, while Voyager of the Seas’ seven-night Nov. 13 sailing was listed at $249 per person.
Other listed options included a three-night Ensenada cruise aboard Serenade of the Seas, departing San Diego from Dec. 3–6, at $220 per person. A seven-night Voyager of the Seas itinerary visiting Ensenada, Cabo and Mazatlan from Los Angeles, scheduled for Nov. 27–Dec. 4, was listed from $249 per passenger.
Voyager of the Seas also had an eight-night Los Angeles departure scheduled for Nov. 5–13, featuring an overnight call in Cabo along with Mazatlan and Catalina, listed at $300 per person.
Royal Caribbean’s website identified four ships sailing from California: Navigator of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas. The review cautioned that transportation to the departure port, particularly a last-minute flight to the West Coast, could add hundreds of dollars to the overall trip cost.
