Royal Caribbean and MSC Outline Services for Cruising With Infants
The cruise lines offer nurseries, childcare and other amenities for families traveling with babies and toddlers.

Royal Caribbean says its Royal Babies & Tots Nursery features separate areas for play and sleep, with age-appropriate toys and tactile activities. Caregivers can assist with bottles, toddler meals, diaper changes and naps. Families may reserve nursery sessions for the full sailing on the first day; remaining openings are then allocated on a first-come basis.
Guests may also request cribs for infants weighing less than 30 pounds and measuring under 35 inches tall. On Royal Caribbean ships, children wearing swim diapers are limited to designated baby splash areas in Splashaway Bay or Baby Bay. At Perfect Day CocoCay, babies in swim diapers may use the island’s pools and play areas and splash at the water’s edge.
MSC Cruises offers Baby Club facilities for children under three across its fleet. The spaces and activities were developed with baby-care company Chicco. MSC’s fee-based drop-off childcare accommodates children ages 6 to 36 months and is limited to 15 children at a time. The cruise line also provides 24-hour telemedicine access to a pediatric specialist.
