Royal Caribbean Agrees to Take Half Stake in Sandals
The three-billion-dollar transaction is expected to close in early 2027 and support growth at both companies.

Royal Caribbean has reportedly agreed to take a 50% equity stake in Sandals through a deal valued at three billion dollars. The transaction is expected to boost growth for both companies and is anticipated to close in early 2027.
The agreement aligns with Royal Caribbean’s efforts to expand its land offerings. The company already operates several private destinations for cruise passengers and has been working to further develop its land-based options.
Royal Caribbean is also preparing to add another ship to its fleet around the expected closing period. Hero of the Seas is set to begin sailing in summer 2027. The vessel is planned as the fourth Icon Class ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet.
